Ron Seymour, Retired

Ron Seymour, CPA FCGA CGA – Retired (Founding Partner)

Ron K. Seymour was born and raised in the farming community of Morden, Manitoba. He graduated in 1968 and soon became interested in helping local farmers with their income tax matters. He began his training in the 1970s’graduating as a Certified General Accountant in 1981 and managed his own accounting practice in the South Interlake and Winnipeg area for over 20 years.

In addition to being involved in his community Ron was elected to the CGA board in Manitoba, and served as Provincial President in 1989. He was awarded a Fellow” of the Certified General Accountants’ of Canada in 1991.

Ron and his family moved to Maple Ridge in 1994 where he continued his accounting career.

In 1998 Ron formed Seymour & Associates in New Westminster which formed the basis of today’s Seymour Gardner & Associates.

Ron’s focus as an accountant has been in the areas of financial accounting and taxation for small business and their shareholders.

Ron’s activity in the community has included:

• Member of the local Chamber of Commerce
• Various Committee memberships
• Member of the Golden Ears Curling Club
• Treasurer for Meadow Ridge Private School
• Board Member and Treasurer for WomanCare.
• Maple Ridge Community Church
